Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Tonight on WWE RAW, Bron Breakker will defend the Men’s Intercontinental Championship against Penta, and Lyra Valkyria will defend the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Raquel Rodriguez. With so many champions being dethroned in the past few weeks, the Road to WrestleMania 41 has proven itself unpredictable.

My question for you today is “Do you think either of these titles will change hands tonight?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

Not to bury the lead, but no, I don’t think either title is going to someone new.

In Valkyria’s case, it’s less about keeping it on her and more about not giving Raquel two belts at the same time. There’s far more of a chance Lyra gets on the WrestleMania card if she’s fighting someone like Bayley or Becky Lynch for the midcard title than for Raquel to get a title match for that title while she’s holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Liv Morgan, who is a much better star. If anything, WWE is going to prioritize making sure they get a tag team match so that Morgan is in there, and I just don’t see the benefit in having Raquel be the IC champion at the same time for that.

Unless, of course, this is their means to have that title in play, but not up for grabs at WrestleMania. Perhaps Rodriguez wins, Valkyria is mad, enlists the help of Becky Lynch to be her tag team partner to face Morgan and Rodriguez for the tag titles, and after all this, Valkyria either wins it back, or maybe Becky wins the IC title. That’s just me playing devil’s advocate, though, as I fully expect Rodriguez to lose this in some fashion.

With Breakker and Penta, I think there’s a chance they already put the belt on Penta, but I also think it’s far more likely we see some interference that renders this match a dud. I could fully see this being an even contest with some near-falls for both guys, only for Finn Balor at least to come out and start attacking both. At this pace, I think we’re getting a multi-man match for this belt at WrestleMania, but if it’s going to be one-on-one, I don’t think we’re seeing Penta as the one to defend it while Breakker is sitting this out or just fighting to regain his title.

What do you think? Drop your thoughts below!
