Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!
There’s a lot going down the next few days in World Wrestling Entertainment, as WrestleMania Week 2025 is set to feature the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, Stand and Deliver, WrestleMania 41, and of course, all the television shows to go along with them.
Lots of great matches are scheduled for these shows worth being excited about, but what if you had to narrow it down to just your #1 thing you’re most interested in?
My question for you today is “What match or whatever else is the top thing you’re most interested in seeing this week with WrestleMania’s festivities?”
Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.
As far as my answer…
While I think a good portion of Stand and Deliver could be better than anything on any other card, and I’m looking forward to the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown as always, my eyes naturally go to the WrestleMania shows themselves.
Far be it from me to be the most “I have to stand out for the sake of it and I can’t go with the grain” where I’d feel the need to pick something beyond the obvious just to seem cool, so I’ll just say it: I’m more excited about Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena than anything else on the weekend.
Now, that’s going to be misinterpreted as me thinking it’s going to be the best match. That is not what I’m saying. In the ring, I highly doubt those two will put on the best bell-to-bell athletic performance. That, on the other hand, I think will go to either the NXT Women’s Championship Fatal 4-Way match, the Women’s World Championship Triple Threat match, or the Intercontinental Championship Fatal 4-Way match, with a slight chance Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins can take that slot.
But the idea of Cena winning his 17th world title, the way he wrestles differently as a heel, how that title chance can go down, and the ramifications behind it are just the most interesting to me overall. It’s the main event, which is a boring thing to say instead of randomly going with putting up a fight for Jade Cargill vs. Naomi or putting a lot on the Women’s North American Championship Ladder Match, but sometimes, the main event just has that aura behind it.
