WWE SmackDown (6/25) Results: Ambrose Vs. Rollins

Welcome to Thursday night SmackDown, we are shown highlights of last Monday’s episode of RAW. Seth Rollins, Kane and Joey Mercury make their way down to the ring. It should be noted that Jimmy Uso is on commentary for tonight’s show. Rollins thanksed Kane and Mercury for having his back the entirety. He brings up that Jamie Noble broke three ribs thanks to Lesnar. Rollins said that tonight is dedicated to the fearless Jamie Noble. Kane grabbed the mic and said that The Big Show is not here tonight due to Ryback’s savage attack on Monday night.

Apparently he’s still in the Authority, according to Kane. This leads to Kane calling out Ryback, which he does with ease and walks down to the ring. Ryback said that Big Show got in his business and he took him out. Rollins said that Ryback’s actions is no way for a WWE champion to act like and maybe he should take some lessons from him. Ryback disagrees with Rollins and did a ubber babyface promo about not being a coward as a champion. Kane booked himself against Ryback in a match. Rollins then challenged Dean Ambrose to a match tonight and said that the Authority always wins.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler.

Sheamus with some clubbing right hands, Ziggler went for a super kick, but Sheamus rolled to the floor. Sheamus jumped on the apron but was dropkicked off. Rusev walked down to the ring as he begged Lana to come back to him. Rusev told her that he would kiss her the right way but then started yelling at her. She turned her back on him, this distracted Ziggler, Sheamus missed a brogue kick and Ziggler rolled him up for 2. Sheamus with a knee lift sending Ziggler to the floor and us to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back from break with Ziggler trying to make a comeback, but couldn’t as he was knocked off the top rope. Sheamus hit the Brogue kick on Ziggler for the win.

Winner: Sheamus.

We see Rusev in the back throwing a fit about Lana, but the segment ended when Summer Rae walked up to him and said that “she’s not worth it.”

Singles Match: Alicia Fox (W/ The Bellas) vs. Naomi (W/ Tamina Snuka)

They lock up, Naomi knocks her down and then lands a leg drop for 2. Naomi with a headlock, but Fox fought out after the fans got behind her. Fox with a sick backbreaker. Fox tackled her out of the ring and spilling out to the floor. Naomi sent her back first into the apron and then back into the ring. Tamina Snuka super kicked the Bella Twins outside the ring. Back in the ring, Fox hit a DDT on Naomi for the win.
Winner: Fox.

-Commercial Break-

The New Day begins to cut a backstage promo about how they will overcome negatively and at Battleground, they will get back their tag team titles. This leads to Prime Time Players walking up to them and mocked them for thinking that they rock when they suck.

When they left, Bo Dallas appeared and said that he will join them in a tag team match tonight against PTP tonight.

Singles Match: Ryback vs. Kane.

While Ryback was making his entrance, Big Show appeared behind him and attacked him. Big Show beat him down all the way from the stage to the ringside area. Big Show tossed Ryback into the ring and the match started. Kane put the boots to Ryback once it started. Ryback fought back, he hit the meathook clothesline then the shellshock, but Big Show kicked him in the gut for the DQ.

Winner: Ryback.

-Commercial Break-

Post-match, Big Show and Kane beat down Ryback in the ring. Big Show chokeslammed Ryback to end the segment.

Highlights from Tuesday’s episode of Tough Enough.

Eight-Man Tag Team Match: Prime Time Players and Lucha Dragons vs. The New Day and Bo Dallas.

O’Neal and Kingston start things off, Young with a few chops to the chest of Kingston. Young with a power slam then tagged in Young who hit a shoulder tackle. Bo Dallas tagged in but walked into a suplex by Young. This leads to Bo rolling to the floor and regrouping on the floor.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back from break with Young getting the hot tag to Kalisto, who hit a dive over the top rope taking out the New Day. Things broke down outside the ring. He would get back in the ring to hit a springboard dive on Woods for the win,.

Winner: Prime Time Players and Lucha Dragons

Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose did a backstage segment where Reigns found a picture of himself in his bag and assumed it was Bray Wyatt. This led to Reigns searching for Wyatt backstage until Kane ran into him and had him kicked out of the building.

Singles Match: Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose.

They lock up, Ambrose with a shoulder tackle and then works over the left arm of Rollins. Ambrose tossed Rollins to the floor and we cut to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back from break with Rollins in control of Ambrose. Moments later, Ambrose. fought back when he hit a bulldog in the corner. However, Rollins bounced off the ropes with a superkick for 2. Ambrose took out Kane at ringside with a dive, landed a forearm shot to Rollins. Ambrose off the top rope with an elbow. Joey Mercury distracted Ambrose and Rollins rolled him up for 2.

Ambrose sent Rollins into Mercury and rolled up Rollins for 2. Ambrose with a DDT off the middle rope for 2. Ambrose dumped Rollins to the floor and hit a dive through the ropes taking out Rollins. Back in the ring, Ambrose no sold a super kick and hit a clothesline on Rollins. Mercury distracted Ambrose, the referee didn’t call for the bell and Rollins hit a pedigree on Ambrose for the win.

Winner: Rollins

Rollins, Kane and Joey Mercury stood tall to end the show over the body of Ambrose in the ring.
