Highlights:
- Chris Jericho became the first AEW World Champion in company history
- Much to everyone’s surprise, Pac defeated Kenny Omega by knocking him out cold with The Brutalizer
- After The Lucha Brothers retained, Santana & Ortiz (The Boricuas FKA The Latin American Xchange) debuted by attacking them and The Young Bucks while wearing masks
- During Cody and Shawn Spears’ match, Arn Anderson made his AEW debut by hitting the spinebuster on Spears; shocking his former tag team partner Tully Blanchard
- Cody & The Nightmare Family were seen using a Star Trek theme for their entrance, which included Brandi Rhodes as Voyager’s Seven Of Nine, as well as Cody, DDP and MJF wearing Starfleet uniforms
- Following their match, Angélico and Jack Evans turned heel by attacking Private Party
- The AEW Women’s Championship was revealed. Nyla Rose & Riho won their respective matches and will face each other on October 2nd on TNT to crown the first

Winner receives a match for the inaugural AEW Women’s World Championship, scheduled for the October 2 AEW show on TNT
Ten matches were contested at the event, including two on the pre-show. In the main event, Chris Jericho defeated Adam Page to become the inaugural AEW World Champion. In other prominent matches, the Lucha Brothers (Pentagón Jr. and Rey Fénix) defeated The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) in a ladder match to retain the AAA World Tag Team Championship, Cody defeated Shawn Spears, and Pac defeated Kenny Omega by making Omega pass out. The AEW Women’s World Championship belt was also unveiled with Nyla Rose and Riho winning their respective matches to face each other for the inaugural championship on October 2, 2019 on AEW on TNT.
