AEW Double or Nothing 2020

AEW Double or Nothing 2020

Date:
May 23, 2020
Location:
MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada

Highlights:

  • Mike Tyson presented Cody with the new TNT Championship
  • Stadium Stampede featured many highlights, including: a bar room brawl between Page & Hager, Matt Hardy reincarnating in to several forms, Matt Jackson doing a moonsault off the football goal, the return of the golf cart, disputed decisions needing Aubrey Edwards to check the replay, Page introducing a new horse, Santana being put on ice, and more.
  • Brodie Lee was busted open after he & Jon Moxley went crashing through the entrance ramp way. The champion knocked Lee out with a sleeper hold.
  • The women’s championship match was made no disqualifications and no countouts, which gave Hikaru Shida the edge as she used her trusted kendo stick several times to down her bigger opponent Nyla Rose to claim the title for the first time.
  • Due to injuries, Penelope Ford replaced Briit Baker, while Joey Janela took Fenix’s spot in the ladder match.
  • After being contracted to Impact Wrestling for several years, Brian Cage made his surprise AEW debut with Taz as his manager.
