AEW Revolution 2022
Highlights:
- All champions retained. Only the TNT Championship wasn’t defended.
- When Hangman Page retained, he showed respect to Adam Cole by shaking his hand while he was knocked out.
- After the Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley match, William Regal made his AEW debut. He told them it was time to clean this place up, and to stop fighting so they can shake hands. Moxley & Danielson shook hands, forming a new team in the process.
- CM Punk entered to his old ROH entrance theme, Miseria Cantare (The Beginning) by AFI, and was announced as the “Second City Saint”.
- At the end of the Dog Collar match, MJF called out for Wardlow. He came down to the ring, but purposely struggled to find the Diamond Ring. After Punk took MJF down, Wardlow conveniently found the ring and placed it on the apron for Punk, showing he has moved on from being under MJF’s employment.
- Eddie Kingston made Chris Jericho tap out in the opening match, but Jericho refused to shake his hand like he promised.
- Swerve Strickland (fka Isiah “Swerve” Scott of Hit Row) officially made his AEW debut.
