Highlights:
- Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger took the pinfall losses in both of his retirement matches
- In the Double Gold Dash, Tetsuya Naito became the first man to claim both IWGP Heavyweight & Intercontinental Championships simultaneously.
- A rare submission loss for Hiroshi Tanahashi gave Chris Jericho his first-ever Wrestle Kingdom victory.
- Kota Ibushi turned out to be the Double Gold Dash loser, although it required much interference and underhanded tactics from Jay White & Gedo.
- Jon Moxley reclaimed the United States Championship he never lost. After retaining on the second night, Minoru Suzuki made his intentions known by attacking him.
- During Tetsuya Naito’s celebration, Kenta attacked him and ruined the moment.

“Liger the Final Pinnacle of Strength, Birthplace of Legend”
The event took place on January 4 and January 5, 2020 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. It was the 29th January 4 Tokyo Dome Show and the 14th promoted under the Wrestle Kingdom name; it was also the first time the event was held over two days, instead of taking place solely on January 4.
