Highlights

  • A moment before it began, Theory was added to the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match by Adam Pearce. He lost his United States title earlier in the night, and it was assumed Mr. McMahon made the decision.
  • Liv Morgan won Money in the Bank and later cashed it in on Ronda Rousey following her title defense against Natalya. Rousey was hurt from the Sharpshooter, but was able to hook in an anklelock on Morgan. Liv broke free from the hold and rolled up Rousey for the victory to claim her first WWE Championship. Surprisingly, despite losing her title in an unfortunate manner, Rousey embraced Morgan and told her that she deserves it.
  • Despite The Usos having a match, the undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was not in attendance. Brock Lesnar was not present either. They are scheduled to face at SummerSlam.

Liv Morgan defeated Ronda Rousey (c) to become the new champion*

*Morgan cashed in her Money in the Bank contract for a title match with Rousey immediately after her match with Natalya.
