A new North American Champion was crowned during this week’s episode of WWE NXT 2.0, as Carmelo Hayes cashed in his NXT Breakout Tournament contract on Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. The cash-in came after Scott had just defeated Santos Escobar to retain the title.
Hayes won the WWE NXT Breakout Tournament earlier this year to earn a shot at the title.
Swerve’s North American Championship reign ends at 105 days.
As many of you know by now, Scott and the other Hit Row members were recently drafted to SmackDown so this was WWE’s way of getting the title off of him before he heads to the main roster.
