On a recent edition of the “Notsam Wrestling” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Adam “Edge” Copeland discussed his plans for his final match, his 2005 feud with Matt Hardy, and more.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On who Copeland would like to face in his final match: “I don’t think it needs to be triumphant. I already had that. I don’t know if it’s Christian [his final opponent] anymore. In a perfect world, again, to me, the place is important. I would love to do it in Maple Leaf Gardens. That I would love to do. Even if it means I’ve got to start an indie for a day, and I’ve got to book Maple Leaf Gardens, I’ve got to book it, I’ve got to get a production team, and the talent. To be able to do it in the place that I first saw wrestling live, to be back in that place [would be great]…”

On bringing real life issues with Matt Hardy to TV in their feud: “It was pretty quickly. I wanted to get into it sooner than we did. Just face it head on and let’s go. We eventually got there when they brought Matt back and I was like, ‘Okay, here we go.’ Now, at least, all under the same roof, now we can get to work on trying to make something from this because it’s already out in the ether anyway. So let’s use it and in a perfect world, we get it put behind us and in a perfect world we’re all in a better place, at least professionally, after the fact. At that point, that’s the only positive I could think to pull out of it. ‘Okay, I fucked up, now what do I do?’ That was really the first instance, lousy way to get there, but I feel like that’s almost when I stepped into manhood. When I fully went, I have to be not a kid anymore, I’m on the road and having fun. Now there are bigger things and I have to face them.”
