The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the AEW All PPV event at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL:
Inaugural AEW World Heavyweight Title Match: Chris Jericho vs. Hangman Page
Jericho went for a spring board crossbody but Page caught him and hit a powerslam. They brawled outside of the ring. Jericho with a missile drop kick for 2 once back in the ring. Jericho went for the walls but Page got out of it.
Page went for a shooting star press off the apron but Jericho caught him with the codebreaker. Jericho started to taunt Page and hit him in the head with a microphone. Jericho hit an armbar takedown and started to work over the left arm of Page. Jericho hit a back splash for 2.
Page fought back with a blockbuster. Page with a rolling senton to Jericho then a shooting star press. Jericho went for the lionsault but Page blocked it with a german suplex. Jericho had a cut over his eye and was bleeding pretty good. Page hit a neck breaker off the middle rope for 2. Page with a big time clothesline then went for the dead eye but Jericho rolled through and went for the walls and got it. Page got to the bottom rope to break it up. Page sent him to the floor with a back body drop then connected with a moonsault off the top rope. Back in the ring, Jericho hit the codebreaker out of nowhere for a near fall.
Page with a big strike to Jericho then a standing shooting star but Jericho put his knees up. Jericho went for the codebreaker but Page blocked. Page went for the dead eye and hit it for a near fall. Jericho blocked the dead eye and hit him with the judas effect for the win!
