Tony Schiavone invites Christian Cage to the ring. Cage says that in a town full of a plastic, phony people, they are lucky to have someone who speaks the truth. Tomorrow night at Full Gear, they are lucky to see Sting’s last match, but also his last match ever. He is getting sick and tired of looking at Sting and his stupid face paint. He is sick of people calling then an icon. Tomorrow night, it will be all over. After Darby Allin loses his mentor, he will find himself needing some guidance, so he knows who to call. As for Ric Flair, if he sticks his nose in their business, he will get his “come to Jesus” moment. And Adam Copeland only came to AEW to steal his spotlight.
He is not the same person as he used to be. He is Christian Cage, and the patriarch of AEW. When he was the golden boy, he was in the trenches, scratching and clawing for every inch. Keep the kids up late and close to the television, because he is going to break his neck. As the TNT Champion, the powers that be want him on the programming every second they can. He doesn’t care who wins tonight to challenge him later, because he can beat all four of them at the same time. Christian Cage says he doesn’t work within the system. He is the system.
Backstage, Lexy Nair is with Ricky Starks and Big Bill. Ricky talked to Tony Khan about the stipulation for their tag team championship match, and he chose a ladder match. They are walking out of the PPV in style as champions, and as the greatest tag team the world has ever seen.
#1. Miro vs. Daniel Garcia – Winner: Miro via technical knockout

#3. [TNT Championship #1 Contender] Trent Beretta vs. Brian Cage (w/ Prince Nana) vs. Komander vs. Penta El Zero Miedo – Winner: Trent Beretta
Don Callis says Powerhouse Hobbs broke Paul Wight on Dynamite. Hobbs says he took out a giant and multiple time World Champion. He’s big, black, and jacked, and warns anybody else against getting any ideas.
#4. Wardlow vs. Evan Daniels – Winner: Wardlow via referee stoppage
Ricky Starks & Big Bill join the commentary table for the next match.
#5. Rush (w/ LFI) vs. Dax Harwood (w/ Cash Wheeler) – Winner: No Contest
Ricky Starks & Big Bill rushed the ring so the referee stopped the match. Members of LFI, House Of Black, and Cash Wheeler also joined the fray. Security and referees rush down to put a stop to the riot as we head into a break.
#6. Buddy Matthews vs. Wheeler Yuta – Winner: Buddy Matthews with the Curb Stomp
Matthews thought about using a chair on Yuta, but Claudio Castagnoli stopped that before it could happen. He gets a microphone and says that Buddy doesn’t need to go and cut a spooky promo to get someone’s attention. All he has to do is ask. Claudio prefers to make his challenges in person and in the light. How about they do this tomorrow night at Full Gear? Buddy nods in approval.
#7. Saraya & Ruby Soho vs. Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander – Winners: Shida & Statlander
MJF sits down with Tony Schiavone to talk about his journey as AEW World Champion, along with the odds of him walking out Full Gear as the champion. He says the odds are slim to none, but unluckily for Jay White, he likes those odds.
Rampage Results

#2. Emi Sakura vs. ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm (w/ Luther) – Winner: Toni Storm
#3. Roderick Strong (w/ The Kingdom) vs. Action Andretti – Winner: Roderick Strong
While Jay White talks up his chances of winning the AEW World title at Full Gear with Renee Paquette, MJF storms in to the room to mount an assault. Juice Robinson interferes, but is soon taken out by a TV monitor. The brutal fight spills out to the ring, where The Gunns do their best to stop an enraged MJF, but it’s not enough. He holds his World title belt for a moment, but once again, the numbers game get the better of him. Bullet Club Gold force the title out of his grasp, and it looks as if White is about to hit him with it… but Samoa Joe arrives to make the save!
He extends a handshake to MJF, who eventually accepts his offer. This means that not only will they team up against Bullet Club Gold, but also, Samoa Joe is guaranteed a World Championship match down the road. And therefore, this concludes the last three hours of All Elite Wrestling programming before Full Gear.
