During the first day of ticket sales for AEW Dynamite “Grand Slam”, which will take place in New York City at Arthur Ashe Stadium, the company sold a “huge amount of tickets.” Both the USTA Arthur Ashe Stadium and AEW are extremely happy with how the ticket sales went during both the pre-sale earlier this week and for the general public on-sale today.

The only available tickets through Ticketmaster for the September 22nd show are for the upper deck and sections behind the stage entrance. Originally, those sets of seats were not going to be opened but were released due to high ticket demand. The expectation is that AEW should sell around 30,000 tickets, in total, between this show and the September 15th show at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. The USTA Arthur Ashe Stadium is currently configured for 17,000 fans but could conceivably be opened up for more fans if needed. It’s possible we could see closer to 19,000 fans in attendance for the Arthur Ashe Stadium event with walk-ups, etc.
