AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker vs. Tay Conti was booked at this year’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event in Minneapolis, MN at the Target Center. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
Baker beat her down in the early going. Baker with a neck breaker then went for a submission, but Tay fought back and connected with a running knee. Tay with a crossbody off the middle rope.
Baker with a slam on the ring apron. They did some near fall spots with roll ups. Rebel tossed Conti into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Baker went for her submission finisher, but Conti rolled through to the ropes. Conti hit a DDT, but Baker managed to roll her up for the win.
