Darby Allin vs. MJF was booked at this year’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event in Minneapolis, MN at the Target Center. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
They did some mat wrestling to start things off. Allin with a springboard arm drag then they did a double bridge spot. They did a series of nearfall spots. They went to the floor and Allin hit an outside dive. Allin missed a coffin drop off the top rope onto the apron. Back in the ring, MJF hit a backbreaker for a near fall. MJF beat him down for a few minutes.
MJF went for a tombstone off the top rope, but Darby countered with a stunner. MJF fired back with a powerbomb for 2. MJF hit a tombstone on the ring apron. Back in the ring, Allin rolled him up for 2. After doing several roll ups, Darby hit a code red. Allin hit a coffin drop to the floor and actually hit it. Allin went for it again inside of the ring, but MJF put up the knees. Wardlow and Sean Spears tried to come out, but Sting attacked them with weapons. MJF hit him with the Dynamite diamond ring for the win.
