Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara in an Elite Deletion Match took place at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event.
They filmed this match at Hardy’s compound. Hardy ran over Sammy’s golf cart with a monster truck. They did some wrestling moves in the front yard. Sammy tried to drown Matt, who grabbed a stick and hit him a few times. They brawled to a ring set up. Matt put a table in the ring and powerbombed him through it. Santana and Ortiz got involved by attacking Hardy. Private Party arrived to even the odds. Matt fired off a roman candle and Sammy fired back. Sammy got covered in mud while eating fireworks. Matt with the twist of fate to Sammy then went to throw him in the water.
Gangrel had The Hurricane hostage. A brawl broke out. Sammy avoided a twist of fate and hit him with a twist of fate. Helms came back in a suit and once again thrown into the water. They brawled to a building and Santana and Ortiz were locked out. Sammy choked out Matt with the ropes and put him on the table. Sammy hit a swantom bomb off the top of the ladder through a table for a near fall. Matt hit a twist of fate then hit him in the head with a chair and Sammy was bleeding from the back of his head. A second chair shot called for the end of the match. Matt won. They put Sammy in a trash can and loaded it up in the back of a truck.
