AEW’s upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view event will be in fewer movie theaters than prior events due to Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Full Gear will be AEW’s first major event since the now-infamous AEW All Out 2022 pay-per-view.

During today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that Marvel’s latest blockbuster will affect Full Gear.

“Yes they are [showing Full Gear in theaters], but they won’t be in as many movie theaters as before, because that’s the weekend of Black Panther comes out, so that’s where most of the people will be going to the movies that week. They will be in a few theaters, but not as many as last time.”

AEW Full Gear will be headlined by AEW World Champion Jon Moxley defending the title against MJF.

Other matches include AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed vs. Swerve in Our Glory and Interim AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm vs. Jamie Hayter.
