Dave Meltzer reported today that Awesome Kong and Shanna are no longer under contract with AEW.
Per the report, the promotion decided to not renew their contracts. Over the weekend, their profiles were removed from the company’s roster page.
Fightful Select reports when Kong wasn’t cleared to wrestle last year, AEW talked about her doing some coaching work for them, but it never happened.
Kong made a surprise appearance at 2019’s Double Or Nothing. She hasn’t been seen since a January 2020 episode of Dark.
