Veteran wrestler Christopher Daniels was previously labeled as the producer for the highly acclaimed bout between Kenny Omega vs. El Hijo del Vikingo from last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that this isn’t entirely accurate, as it was Omega himself who put the match together. Daniels, however, was the technical producer and handled all of the camera angles and time cues given to both wrestlers during the match.
During a media call ahead of tonight’s ROH Supercard of Honor pay-per-view event, AEW President Tony Khan addressed Mark Briscoe’s singles run in ROH. It is to be noted that Mark has been actively pursuing singles competitions instead of going back to the tag team division. Following the untimely passing of his brother Jay Briscoe, Mark relinquished the ROH World Tag Team Titles and became a solo competitor. Khan said,
“Mark was very clear that he didn’t want to go back and do a tag match or be in tag matches. He would do singles, trios, or multi-mans, but not do tag matches. That was something that made a lot of sense, and obviously, I want to do what makes Mark most comfortable. He was very comfortable with the idea of the Reach For The Sky ladder match. He’s been having great singles matches and, as a trio with the Lucha Brothers (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo), has had exciting matches. There are a lot of opportunities for other great singles and trios matches and combinations with Mark.“
