Yuka Sakazaki is returning to AEW.

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling announced today that Yuka Sakazaki has been pulled from the May 5th show. Earlier this week, AEW reached out and asked if Sakazaki could be at an event next week.

You can check out the official announcement below:

“Thank you for your continued support of Tokyo Women’s Pro Wrestling.

Yuka Sakazaki will not be able to attend the May 3 event at Ryogoku KFC Hall and the May 5 event at EDION Arena Osaka.

Earlier this week, AEW requested Sakazaki to participate in a match next week. After informing her of her domestic schedule and discussing the timing of his trip to the U.S., the decision to participate in AEW was made on short notice.

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to the fans who were looking forward to Sakazaki’s sales event and the match in Osaka. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Fans who purchased tickets for May 3 and 5 in advance will receive a cash refund on the day of the event.

In the event that Sakazaki successfully defends her Princess Tag Team Title on May 3, another wrestler will take her place in the announced 8-woman tag team match.

We apologize again for Sakazaki’s sudden absence and ask for your understanding.”
