Following up on our previous report on AEW’s ticket sales for AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, we now have a further update on the sales for the event.
According to Pwinsider, the event has now sold just short of 16,000 tickets which will make it the largest attendance for an AEW show. The report also states that AEW are reportedly pushing forward with opening more seats for the event in Arthur Ashe Stadium. Initially, the show was set to have a maximum capacity of 17,000. This would leave just 1000 or so tickets for the company to sell before the event on September 22. Now though, with AEW planning to expand the number of seats further, the event could be set to have an attendance of somewhere in the region of 19,000.
Within AEW, the company is reportedly thrilled with the ticket sales for the event. Especially since this is the first time they have headed into the New York City market.
