Riho has been absent from AEW for nearly a year, but that appears to be changing in the near future.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW is actively working to bring the first Women’s champion back to the company. Riho left Stardom several weeks ago. The belief is she could be back as early as February.
The biggest issue preventing her return is moving her from Japan to the United States. She has to quarantine before leaving and after returning to Japan.
