Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru and El Desperado was booked at this year’s AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
Kanemaru starts off against Keith Lee. Swerve sends Desperado to the outside. Desperado counters the running apron kick and smashes Swerve into the apron. Swerve slams Desperado down and rolls into a Brainbuster for a nearfall. Desperado and Swerve trade blows. Desperado hits a huge spinebuster. Lee counters a Sunset Flip with an attempt at a Spirit Bomb but Kanemaru rakes the eye. Lee hits Kanemaru with Big Bang Catastrophe to wrap it up.
