Bryan Danielson has concluded his full-time wrestling career, and Adam Cole expressed his regret that they never faced off in a match.
During a recent appearance on the “Stick to Wrestling” podcast, Cole shared his hope that the two can still compete against each other in the future.
Cole said, “Bryan’s health and Bryan’s safety and Bryan’s legacy is the most important thing so I’m glad that Bryan is able to rest and heal and again, Bryan’s one of the greatest to ever do it and selfishly, I do wish I could have stepped into the ring with him again but who knows? Never say never. Maybe someday, maybe someday.“
During a recent interview with SVG, AEW’s EVP of Global Production, Mike Mansury, stated that the company will adopt a more “sports-style presentation” starting next year.
You can check out some highlights from the interview below:
On moving AEW into the future: “The idea was getting more IP-based with everything that we are doing. How can we get AEW to be more towards the cutting edge? That’s always the challenge with our line of work. We’re not quite sport; we’re not quite entertainment. We’re a lovely hybrid. How do we take our form of content and intertwine technology into it that leaves us at the cutting edge and allows us to be trendsetters as opposed to followers?”
On upcoming changes: “Starting in 2025, you’ll see more of a sports-style presentation in-arena in terms of being able to entertain the audience when there isn’t in-ring content or taped content happening as part of the television broadcast. We want to create a nice split between the live event and TV show, just to make that experience for those in the house feel a bit more special.”
And finally, Isiah Kassidy of Private Party thanked fans for their support after winning the AEW World Tag Team Titles last week.
Kassidy said in his vlog, “We f**king did it. I was going to say thank you to everybody who showed us love throughout these years. To finally get to this point … it took us five years, but, we did it. God did, we did it, we f**king won these championships. All the setbacks, this [the title] right here makes it all worth it. Five years in the making and we’re here. Patience is truly a virtue. I kind of just see, like, a different side of us, especially me. I’ve just been talking from the heart. Every time you see me do one of those backstage interviews or backstage promos, it’s like, that’s really me talking. That’s really me talking from the heart.”
