At NJPW Resurgence, Mercedes Mone’s lengthy reign as NJPW Strong Women’s Champion was ended by AZM in a match that also included Mina Shirakawa.
On Twitter, a fan warned ROH Women’s World Champion Athena that Mone hopes to add the ROH gold to her collection soon enough.
This caught the attention of the ‘Forever Champion,’ who poked fun at Mone’s recent title loss at New Japan’s latest event.

Athena won the ROH Women’s Title at Final Battle in December 2022. She has held the title longer than any champion has held any title in ROH history.
Despite her loss, Mone is the AEW TBS Champion and the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion.
