The new multi-year multimedia rights deal between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery has raised questions among fans. The deal, valued at $555 million over three years, does not include revenue from pay-per-view events.
As we previously reported here on eWn, AEW pay-per-views will be accessible on HBO MAX at a reduced price per event later in 2025. AEW Dynamite and Collision will continue to air on TBS and TNT.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the AEW pay-per-view library will be accessible on MAX, but unlike past AEW TV episodes, it will not be added on January 1.
Meltzer said, “It was about the AEW TV deal. Will the PPV library go up on MAX? The answer is yes. It may not all be up immediately. All the AEW archives will be up on MAX next year. They go to MAX January 1st, and it’s not instantly. All these episodes of Dynamite and Rampage and Collision will be up on MAX. They will be slowly rolled out, as will the pay-per-views. In time, the entire library will be on MAX.”
