Jay White was legitimately injured and written out of AEW Dynamite through a storyline involving an attack by the Death Riders.
Fightful Select is reporting that White’s injury will require surgery, leading to significant creative changes, including his removal from the Owen Hart Cup.
As of this writing, it’s not clear what the specific injury is.
