All Elite Wrestling should be far more grateful to those at WWE compared to what fans have seen on programming, according to Eric Bischoff.
Since launching, AEW has often taken aim at WWE and its booking, with Will Ospreay’s comments about Triple H stirring up controversy earlier this year.
Last year, Tony Khan declared Triple H and Shawn Michaels “bald a**holes” before WWE NXT comfortably defeated AEW Dynamite in the ‘Tuesday Night War.’
On a recent edition of his “83 Weeks” podcast, Bischoff spoke about why AEW should take the opportunity to say thank you to the bigger and older promotion. He said,
“The product [of AEW] is not developed yet. The brand has yet to be developed. Until they stop losing audience, I wouldn’t try to make any comparisons at all to WWE. If I was Tony Khan right now, I would be putting WWE over and thanking them for being the catalyst for so much growth in the wrestling space.
“Literally I’d be putting them over and endearing myself to their fans, as opposed to challenging them to try my product and perhaps hope that you’ll find it a better product, they’re just not ready for that yet.”
