Tony Khan’s usage of social media is continuing to hurt the AEW brand, and his own reputation, as far as Eric Bischoff is concerned.
Khan’s online conduct has raised eyebrows in the past, including his beef with Jinder Mahal earlier this year which resulted in Mahal receiving a WWE World Heavyweight title match.
In late 2023, Khan called Triple H & Shawn Michaels “bald a**holes” ahead of the ‘Tuesday Night War’ between NXT and Dynamite that WWE would comfortably win.
On a recent edition of his “Wise Choices” podcast, Bischoff addressed Khan’s proclivity for social media, which has often made headlines. He said,
“Nothing wrong with promoting in social media. I do it all the time. I did it this afternoon to let all of you know that I was going to be here doing a ‘Wise Choices’ episode. Nothing wrong with that. But it comes to a point where some of the stuff that Tony’s doing is so freaking transparent and weak. It makes him look weak, it makes his company look weak. It’s a reflection of poor leadership and lack of experience.”
Khan is currently gearing up for AEW’s return to the UK for All In: London 2024, which will take place on August 25 from Wembley, Stadium.
