AEW Dynamite for April 16, 2025 hosted three matches in this year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament with “Hangman” Adam Page vs. a wild card unknown opponent, TBS Champion vs ROH Women’s World Champion in the women’s division, and Will Ospreay against Konosuke Takeshita in semifinals action.
First up on this episode was the women’s match, which spanned nearly a half hour with both looking strong. Ultimately, after a great opener, Mone scored a pinfall by rolling up Athena after dodging an O-Face.

Next up was “Hangman” Adam Page against the wild card, who was revealed to be Josh Alexander! The Walking Weapon had a fairly even fight with Page, who ultimately managed to just catch a lucky pinfall to advance.
Notably, after the match, Don Callis came out with Kyle Fletcher, who went after Page. Callis then said something inaudible to Alexander, who attacked Page from behind and then walked off. Whether this means Alexander is going to join The Don Callis Family or did just a one-off favor remains to be seen.
Later on, Will Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita had one hell of a match that is really worth going back and checking out if you haven’t seen it. Ospreay eventually managed to walk away the winner following a Stormbreaker in a contest that had too many near-fall counts to keep track of, proving that on any other night, it could have gone to Takeshita.
As a result of these matches, Mercedes Mone will go on to face the winner of Kris Statlander vs. Jamie Hayter and Will Ospreay will face the winner of Kyle Fletcher vs. Adam Page at AEW Double or Nothing, where the finals will take place.
