Konnan believes that Tony Khan is being “petty” by keeping the Lucha Bros. around by tacking on injury time to their respective contracts.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix were set to depart AEW with plans to join WWE.
It has since been reported that Rey Fenix will stay for close to a year with AEW to make up for the time he missed in the ring due to injuries.
On a recent edition of his “Keepin It 100” podcast, Konnan discussed the Lucha Bros. and had choice words for Tony Khan. He said,
“He’s petty. He’s a self-check. Nothing that I do will ever change him. He is what he is.”
The Lucha Bros. have been with AEW since 2019 and are former Tag Team and Trios Champions. Rey Fenix is a former International Champion.
WWE has welcomed in several AEW alum in recent years including Cody Rhodes, Ethan Page, Shawn Spears, Jade Cargill, and Lexis King.
