Kris Statlander was certainly sore after AEW All Out 2024, but was happy to deal with some ‘intimate’ pain in order to entertain wrestling fans.
Statlander faced Willow Nightingale in a Chicago Street Fight at the event, and missed a scissors kick that resulted in Statlander landing in thumbtacks crotch first.
On a recent edition of the “Ring The Belle” podcast, Statlander joked about sacrificing her loins in the name of entertainment. She said,
“I didn’t feel good about it. It wasn’t what I wanted to happen. It also wasn’t the best plan to be like, ‘Let me go for a scissor kick’, because I was gonna have to land on it in some degree anyway. I wasn’t planning on her moving out of the way. That wasn’t my goal but on the bright side, it got one of the craziest reactions I’ve ever heard and I am happy I was able to create that moment by sacrificing my loin.”
Despite the spot, Statlander would win the match in 15 minutes, the shortest match on the main card for All Out 2024.
Statlander will challenge AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone at AEW Full Gear 2024. The show will take place on November 23.
