Mariah May will challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship in less than two weeks at AEW All In: London 2024.
After a successful stint in STARDOM, May joined AEW and formed an alliance with Storm. The two were involved in an engaging storyline that unfolded over the following months, culminating in May’s victory in the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. May subsequently betrayed Storm, setting the stage for their title clash at AEW All In 2024.
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, May discussed coming to the US and signing with AEW. She said,
“Change is definitely scary. It’s even scarier as an adult. I always knew what I wanted to do–be the best women’s wrestler in the world. In order to do that and become a star, I needed to come to America. I can grow and shine at All Elite Wrestling. It’s the perfect place for me to take over women’s wrestling.”
May defeated Viva Van on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
