During a recent edition of his “The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt Hardy shared his thoughts about who he believes is going to waste as part of AEW’s roster. He said,
“Everyone knows I’m very, very invested in Private Party, and I think that whenever they won the titles, the genuine crowd reaction should’ve been a strong statement. It’s really easy to make people lose faith in them quickly if you don’t instill faith. They’re still — there’s not a lot of wiggle room in, like, not trying to make them look like strong champions.”
In addition to Private Party, Hardy also brought up Malakai Black, who is reportedly set to leave AEW very soon, potentially to return to WWE.
Hardy also claimed that AEW has dropped the ball on Wardlow and is ready to see the powerhouse thrive away from Tony Khan. He said,
“I would like to see Wardlow land in a promotion and I would like to see them push the s**t out of him. He has all the making of a big star, just someone needs to, like, elevate him and put him in a position to succeed.”
Matt Hardy’s time with AEW ended in 2024. He has since returned to TNA where he and Jeff currently hold the TNA World Tag Team Championships.
