The Young Bucks returned at AEW Dynasty 2025 this past Sunday, interfering to help Jon Moxley and costing Swerve Strickland the AEW World Title match.
A previous report mentioned that some individuals in AEW were uncertain about when The Young Bucks would return, while others speculated that this had been in the works for quite a while.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that The Young Bucks were always planned to return at AEW Dynasty 2025 rather than AEW Revolution 2025 or any of the other recent California events.
The Young Bucks only arrived at the venue around 10 PM, which was late enough to prevent any leaks. However, AEW did not try to hide them backstage.
