The rivalry between “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland has been a significant storyline in AEW.
Page and Strickland first faced off in October 2023 and continued to face each other the following month. The wrestling community heavily praised their intense Texas Deathmatch at AEW Full Gear 2023. Page and Strickland faced each other at AEW WrestleDream 2023 and later competed in a triple threat match for the AEW World Title at AEW Revolution 2024. The two were on opposing teams in this year’s Blood & Guts match.
Strickland is set to defend the AEW World Title against Bryan Danielson at AEW All In: London 2024 later this month in a Title vs. Career match.
On the other hand, Page does not have a confirmed match for AEW All In 2024, though there is speculation that he might participate in the upcoming Casino Gauntlet.
According to Ibou of WrestlePurists, a match between Strickland and Page is reportedly in the works for AEW All Out 2024 in Chicago. The event is set to take place just under two weeks after All In 2024, on September 7.
