AEW TNT and Tag Team Champion Darby Allin recently completed his climb to the summit of Mount Everest and has been back in the U.S. for some time. According to a report from Fightful Select, his return to AEW television could be happening very soon.
Allin had initially planned the Everest expedition for last year, but those plans were pushed back due to injury. AEW reportedly hoped he’d be back in time for the Owen Hart Tournament, but that ultimately proved to be too ambitious. Although he has yet to reappear on AEW programming since returning home, his comeback now seems imminent.
Allin is expected to return “imminently,” with sources stating that they would be surprised if he isn’t involved in AEW All In: Texas in some form. Allin is said to have completed his Everest journey without major injury and is physically ready to compete if needed.
As of now, there are no confirmed creative plans for All In, and he has not officially been announced for All In: Texas. The event is set for Saturday, July 12, at Globe Life Field in Dallas, Texas, and will air live on pay-per-view.
