Fightful Select is reporting that there are significant creative plans for FTR (Rated FTR) coming out of their World Trios Title match tonight against The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta).
Swerve Strickland will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title in the main event. Swerve’s family, including his daughters, are in Philadelphia for the show.
The Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight Owen Hart Cup quarterfinal match was originally set to be Will Ospreay vs. Jay White. Plans for the tournament finals are being kept under wraps.
Athena vs. Mercedes Mone (TBS Champion) is scheduled for the next round of the women’s Owen Hart Tournament.
Josh Alexander recently left TNA Wrestling and is a free agent. Though he’s been linked to AEW since February, no confirmation was given on whether he will appear tonight.
And finally, there were delays in finalizing the Chris Jericho vs. Bandido match due to issues with Bandido’s reps. Despite that, the ROH World Title is reportedly planned to go on Bandido, with those plans dating back several months.
