AEW Dynamite 300 started off with a promo segment from “Hangman” Adam Page, who put out a challenge to Jon Moxley that their match for the AEW World Championship at AEW All In: Texas in 10 days should be a Texas Deathmatch.
The champion came out, along with the rest of The Death Riders, so Moxley could decline the stipulation. A fight broke out, with Page being laid out, only to get back up and to show his tenacity, which was enough to convince Moxley to change his mind and accept the challenge.
This segment ended with Page getting the upper-hand for momentum after he gave Marina Shafir a Buckshot Lariat.
