Sebastian Wolfe made his AEW television debut on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and, through his choice of ring attire, expressed his pride in his indigenous heritage.
Wolfe competed against HOOK on Wednesday’s show and took to Twitter the following day to elaborate on the symbolism of his ring gear, which prominently featured the word “Wolf” written in Cree.
Wolfe tweeted, “This is my native language of Cree, it says WOLF. Last night makes the first time this language was ever seen on a national TV wrestling show.
Last night was also the first time an Indigenous Canadian pro wrestler was on #AEWdynamite
Thank you Everett WA”
Wolfe has worked two prior matches in AEW, one on AEW Dark and the other on AEW Dark: Elevation, both of which took place in early 2023.
