AEW will miss The Young Bucks for several months as the prominent tag team has decided to take a break from the promotion.

During Wednesday’s AEW Fright Night Dynamite special, Private Party defeated The Young Bucks, capturing the AEW Tag Team Titles and ensuring they would not disband as a duo.

Following the show, it was reported that Nicholas Jackson had been dealing with a separated shoulder and that the injury had been troubling him for several weeks.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that although there is no specific timetable for his return, neither Nicholas nor Matthew Jackson will compete at AEW Full Gear 2024 later this month.

The report states, “There is no set timetable for a return past it’ll be for a while, and they aren’t scheduled for the Full Gear show. It’ll be no longer than January since they are confirmed for the joint AEW & NJPW show at the Tokyo on 1/5.”

The Wrestle Dynasty 2025 pay-per-view event will take place on January 5 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, and is co-promoted by AEW, NJPW, ROH, and CMLL.
