Darby Allin’s return to AEW remains up in the air — along with his current whereabouts on the mountain — as the daredevil continues his long-anticipated climb of Mount Everest.
Allin has been off AEW television since the end of the Continental Classic in New York City. His Everest expedition, which he had been planning for years, officially began a few weeks ago. He’s shared sporadic updates from the mountain, but details remain scarce.
Fightful Select is reporting that back in January, reports indicated that Allin had been pulled from programming and wasn’t expected to return until the spring. Optimism surrounded his potential involvement in the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament and a possible appearance at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view event on May 25 in Glendale, Arizona. However, there’s been no official word on his status since.
For perspective, summiting Everest is a monumental challenge, typically requiring six to ten weeks to complete.
