During a recent interview with Yahoo! Finance, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan shared his thoughts on what defines a great professional wrestler. According to Khan, the ideal performer is someone who possesses the complete package — strong promo skills, the ability to connect with the audience, natural charisma, and top-tier athleticism. He said,
“You’ve gotta’ have somebody that has all the skills right now, that total package. You want to have somebody that has the ability to talk and connect with the audience, somebody that has charisma, and somebody that’s a great athlete.”
Khan also commented on the major corporate restructuring plans announced by AEW’s broadcast partner, Warner Bros. Discovery, which intends to split into two separate entities — one focused on streaming and studios, and the other on traditional TV networks.
