Jeff Jarrett may have big plans to capture the AEW World Championship this year, but fans shouldn’t expect a reign for Double-J anytime soon.
During a recent episode of AEW Dynamite, Jarrett shared that he has signed his final in-ring contract and plans on winning AEW’s top prize.
On the Fightful Select Backstage Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp reported that despite Jeff’s plans, there’s no plan for him to win the gold. He said,
“No. There are no creative plans to put the AEW World Heavyweight title on Jeff Jarrett.”
Jarrett is feuding with MJF, who had been willing to help Jeff win the title on the condition that he got the first title opportunity.
Jeff turned MJF’s offer down. On the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF insinuated that Jarrett is exploiting his friendship to Owen Hart to get a huge farewell.
