Willow Nightingale has signed a new multi-year contract with AEW and will continue with the company for the foreseeable future.

During a recent appearance on the “Gabby AF” podcast, Nightingale shared her reasons for signing a new deal with AEW. She said,

I mean, I love AEW, I obviously have, over the past couple of years, through being with them, have gotten a lot more exposure by being on television. Even though I’m doing that every week, I’ve still had the chance to travel internationally. One thing that is very special to my heart, is, before I even got there to see something that was a little bit of an idea and became this real alternative to what we had known to be wrestling for so so long in the United States, to watch it blossom and grow into its own thing is cool, but to be a part of it and help from the very start to make it what it is, and to be a part of the identity, and get your fingers in there at the ground of just creating something new and being able to water it and watch it blossom is like such a privilege and a joy. I think that’s cool. I think things that are like cult classics and have strong followings are awesome. We’re like the punk rock show. We’re out here doing things because we’re passionate and we love it, and I don’t think I’m done with it. I think there’s so much more for me to do here. Right now, I’m super, super duper happy.”

During a recent interview with NJPW1972, Nick Wayne discussed his Best of the Super Juniors rival Kevin Knight, whom he described as his “wrestling soulmate.”

Both competed in B Block and went head-to-head on May 17, with Knight emerging victorious. Wayne said,

Yeah, me and Kevin (Knight) go way back. Before New Japan, before the L.A. Dojo, he came to train at Buddy Wayne Academy — my dad’s school — for a year or two. He was like a sponge when it came to taking in information and he just skyrocketed with his talent. He was so hungry to get better. We also trained together at a Lucha school in Seattle. And from the start, I knew. I watched him wrestle in training one day and thought, that’s my soulmate. We traveled together, took city buses to other states for shows, wrestled all over the Pacific Northwest and Canada. We haven’t touched since he left for L.A., but his growth’s been unreal. He’s completely evolved, and I couldn’t be prouder. With his AEW and New Japan deal, he’s only going higher. One of the future greats, no doubt.”
