AJ Styles Gives Update On Injury

As we had previously reported here on eWn, it was believed that AJ Styles had suffered an injury at Wrestlemania 35 during his match with Randy Orton.

Styles was scheduled for a meet and great the following day at AXXESS and fans in line were told that the new WWE Champion Kofi Kingston was replacing AJ for the VIP signing. Styles did not appear on Smackdown but no statement from WWE had been released confirming any injury.

While playing a video game called “PlayerUnknown’s Battleground” Wednesday night, AJ Styles took time to confirm his injury with fans on his Mixer account.

How AJ Believes It Happened:

“When you take a suplex from about 15 feet in the air… You know, I think I hit my left side before my right, just a little bit, and that’s totally on me, totally my fault,”

The Aftermath:

“It kind of knocked my hips out of place and then everything else, all those muscles in your butt and your back, swell up and then those muscles press on your nerve endings, and next thing you know you can’t walk the next day.“

Update:

“But, got x-rays [on Wednesday] and they were all positive, I didn’t break anything. So, as far as that looks, I should be good to go here soon.”

The Superstar Shakeup editions of Raw and Smackdown take place next week but there is no word if AJ Styles will be in Montreal for them. As updates regarding his in-ring status are made we will provide them.
