AJ Styles has made a public promise regarding his next match under the WWE banner.
During last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Styles defeated Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Mustafa Ali, and Samoa Joe to become the new #1 contender to the WWE Title in the main event. He’ll now challenge Daniel Bryan for the strap at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event on Sunday, January 27, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona at Chase Field that will air on the WWE Network.
Styles sent out the following promise in a recent message on his official Twitter account:
“I’m the man I’ve always been. The performer I’ve always promised to be. I represent the power of this sport and industry and I’m taking back its greatest prize. #RoyalRumble.”
