Tonight at WWE Battleground, Kevin Owens became a 3-time United States Champion by “defeating” AJ Styles. Owens may have celebrated a little bit too early as his victory was flawed. The referee could not see from his perspective, but both of AJ Styles’s shoulders were not on the mat as Kevin Owens snuck in his 3rd reign as the WWE United States Champion.
