WWE has announced that AJ Styles would defend the WWE Title against Samoa Joe at the Crown Jewel event. Styles was supposed to face Daniel Bryan at this event but WWE booked this match on SmackDown Live that saw Styles retain. After the match, Samoa Joe attacked both Bryan and Styles. It was later announced that Joe would challenge Styles for the WWE Title at Crown Jewel.
Styles took to Twitter today and wrote the following:
