All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) has announced that they have canceled their Champion Carnival 2020 event due to the current coronavirus outbreak. The event was originally scheduled for April 6 at Korakuen Hall and was to run through May 5. Recently, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Lucas Steel, and Joel Redman all dropped from the event due to travel restrictions.
AJPW President Tsuyoki Fukada said during a press conference that the promotion will make every attempt possible to put on the carnival this year.
Despite trying everything, we regret to inform you this years Champion Carnival has been cancelled due to the spread of coronavirus.
